MINI AND MAXIMUS

Mini and Maximus (MIMA) recognized an opportunity in the kids apparel industry to provide children with a pure creative voice. MIMA was the first brand to involve children in the design process, allowing for a more pure self-expression of the children who wore it. Sophie St-Onge, co-founder and Creative Director of MIMA (Remains co-founder) and her business partner Megan Villa established the “art by kids for kids” program which empowered children to express themselves through graphic art and clothing design, garnering international brand recognition. Sophie and Megan’s ability to recognize that children are the purest form of creativity, has been an industry game-changer. By taking an unexpected approach, MIMA was able to connect in new and unique ways, through a kids creative voice, enabling parents to engage with their little ones on a new level of creative compatibility. Mini and Maximus always believed that the most famous unknown artists are the kids themselves.

Mini and Maximus established a unique creative approach to developing a children’s brand which inspired and expanded parental views on children’s creativity. From the start, MIMA forged a movement that saw multiple new children’s brands embraced the same creative ideals. The brand was recognized internationally by over 300 accounts, published in top international publications and highly supported by celebrities such as Gwen Stefani and the Kardashian.
